Firstly a big thank you to bookbridgr for my copy to review. I’ve read a few of her books and have enjoyed them all.

This is action packed full of adrelian and very tense !

As someone who has been in the care system it’s really interesting to read about in fiction and the impact it can have on the young individual.

This book unravels to tell the truth and it is not what people are expecting.

A story about family and what makes a family. Good and bad. … are we always one or the other? Who are we when our past has damaged us?

Is there hope for someone who’s future looks destined to fail?

As a dog lover and owner I loved reading about the dog that provided a lot of comfort to Sharlah . Their bond was very precious.

Edge of your seat thrilling read that I whole heartedly recommend.

Firstly a huge thanks to the Avon team for my copy and having me on the blog tour.

I’ve read and reviewed both of her other books so couldn’t wait to get stuck in to the angel .

I am a huge fan of Katerinas books and interact regularly on social media .

For me this is her best!

I whizzed through and now quite gutted I’ve finished it .

This had it all and more for me.

We are back with the much loved detectives.

Loved the contrast in narratives and especially getting an in depth look into prison life.

Mystery scandal deep buried secrets .

The past is trying to pave  the future and something needs to change.

Addictive and compelling which is what we have come to expect from this fantastic author .

I wish her every success with this book .

Do check out the other blogs on the tour and read on for am exclusive extract to get a sneak peek.
Surely this was all a big mistake? Prison? He couldn’t be here. This couldn’t be real. Just over a week ago, he and Emma had been making plans for the summer. Everything they had talked about was now gone. No going back to college or work or holidays. No more hope. No future. Or at the very least, a future he hadn’t accounted for and most certainly didn’t want. This would never go away. It couldn’t. Someone had died because of him. Someone had lost their father, brother, son – all because of Gabriel’s stupidity.
He couldn’t feel sorry for himself, but he could feel anger. The numbness inside had gone. He had spent so long focussing on how to behave and making sure he didn’t upset anyone that he hadn’t allowed himself to feel anything. His eyes no longer stung and he realised he was crying. Thank God he was alone.
Gabriel turned on his side and drew his knees up to his chest. The release of pressure was immense; he could feel himself letting go and breathing for what seemed like the first time in a week. Tears coming until there were no more. The short burst of emotion had calmed him down. His breathing normalising, he drifted into thoughts of Emma, wishing he had that T-shirt so he could at least inhale her scent.
That’s when he noticed the light. A break in the darkness. His heart stopped as he heard the sound of metal against metal. The bolt sliding across and his door opening, followed by shuffling and quiet footsteps. Should he hold his breath or pretend to be asleep? Should he turn and look? He balled his hand into a fist, ready to punch anyone who touched him.

Blog tour bad sister Sam Carrington

BAD SISTER blog tour.pngFirstly a big thank you to Avon for my copy to review.

I’m delighted to be on the tour.

Following the success of her debut there’s always anticipation to how a authors next book will do

Well this exceeded any of my expectations and was devoured in a few hours.

I couldn’t put it down!!

Harrowing choking but so addictive.

I find the profession of psychology and counselling fascinating and have studied this area a great deal over the years .

This book looks deeply at human behaviour , nature /nurture. ..can people change after doing something bad ?

Full of twists and turns make this a excellent book in the psychological thriller genre.

Now for a sneak peak!

She’d told DI Wade that she wouldn’t be of any help – past the fact she’d written a report twenty months ago – but they felt that as she ‘knew’ Eric Hargreaves, he might have disclosed something from his background, associates that could be critical in the inves¬tigation. Why couldn’t any of the other psychologists from Baymead help with their enquiries? And there were other employees from the offending behaviour programmes department that’d had dealings with Ricky. They had access to her report, her notes and emails. The police didn’t need her. Not really. Why were they so keen for her to be involved? So they had a scapegoat if things didn’t go their way? She’d been that before; she wasn’t willing to be one again.

How much weight were they giving the discovery of her name on Ricky’s hand? Did they think it was related to his murder or just a coincidence? They obviously had to follow any lead, and a name on the body was bound to need investigating, particularly when that name had been instrumental in the prisoner’s previous release. Although they seemed to have found that out very quickly, given she’d changed her name since then.
The words from last night’s report spiked her memory. An inside source. DI Wade and DS Mack had known about her past with Ricky before she’d mentioned it, so someone must’ve jumped right in and told them. Did the police think she was involved in Ricky’s murder? Some kind of revenge attack, payback for messing her life up? Surely not. Maybe they were concerned that the murderer had put her name on Ricky’s hand as a warning and that was why they were so keen to pay her a visit. Admittedly, she’d had a flash of panic that it was a sign that she was ‘next’ as soon as she saw the picture of Ricky’s hand, but she’d dismissed that as paranoia. It was too subtle, and by all accounts, the person who killed Hargreaves was far from that. No, it didn’t fit. There had to be a different reason her name had been found on a dead man.

BOOK REVIEW SCARLETT MOFFATT ME LIFE STORY

Fact: Did you know, over its lifespan, your sofa will witness roughly 293 arguments and 1,369 cuddles?

Hiya, my name’s Scarlett Moffatt and I love random facts. Almost as much as I love sitting on me sofa. You might know me best from my most famous and celebrated sit thus far on the I’m A Celebrity throne. You might also know me from all sorts of other seats, most especially my Gogglebox sofa. Well this book is my attempt at telling me life story through a whole series of them!

So I’d like you right now to stop what you’re doing and take a seat, whether it be in the comfort of your own home, on the top deck of the bus, on the tube (so you don’t have to make eye contact with anybody) or on the throne of the house (a.k.a. the toilet). I want you to get comfortable and get ready to laugh, cry and maybe even learn a bit, as I chat to you about some of the highs and lows of me life.

So grab a brew, settle down, and let’s start from the very beginning…

Firstly a huge thank you to Francesca for sending me a highly exclusive blogger  copy.

I love goggle box so much and scarlett is one of my favourites. .. and I’m huge book worm so put all together … dream come true.

I whizzed through it and absolutely loved it.

It has her voice and humour throughout so felt very genuine and honest.

Learnt so much about her and think some readers will be suprised at this vulnerable side of her.

Despite fame and the bright lights hitting he’d at a speeding rate she comes across with her feet firmly on the ground …or sofa in this case.

The layout of the chapters was very clever with the facts …definitely learnt something new reading this .

Reading this has just made me more of a fan of hers and wish her every success .

Funny ,warm and entertaining this will definitely make a great gift …with Christmas fast approaching.

BLOG TOUR BENEATH THE SKIN BY CAROLINE ENGLAND

I am delighted to be kicking off the blog tour for this book and I will be sharing a exclusive extract.

I cant wait to read this and be sure to follow the other blogs taking part .

‘Antonia, Antonia. My name is Antonia.’

It’s been her name for many years. But sometimes, like tonight, she forgets.

Lying in the bath, she stares at the naked razor blade. The tiny distorted reflection of a girl gazes back. If she was brave, if she was very brave, she’d use it on her wrists, two deep final lines. Then she’d close her eyes and let this masquerade slip away.

She removes a curl of damp hair stuck to her cheek. The thought of all the fuss her death would create is unbearable. Even in death, the notion of being the centre of attention, the talk of the town, even for fifteen minutes, is excruciating.

And she knows the pull is there. She can feel it inside, somewhere deep and hidden. That tiny pulse of life, drawing her back from the overwhelming desire to disappear, to become something, somebody. To live, to really live, instead of hiding in this bathroom, this house.

Rocking her head from side to side, she tries to expel the memory of the unexpected telephone call this afternoon. She doesn’t want to think of it now. She doesn’t want to think about it ever.

She adjusts the position of the razor blade, watches the imprint of her fingers disappear and takes a deep breath before slowly slicing into the soft flesh of her arm. Closing her eyes, she smiles, a small sigh escaping her lips. There’s always a moment, a throb of expectation, then the sharp pain sets in, taking her back to a moment of acute pleasure. Crisp and clear: the still of a film. Antonia and Sophie, Sophie and Antonia, smiling, naked and drunk. But today it’s of a girl on a swing, laughing with sheer happiness, her daddy pushing her high into the clouds.

But of course that wasn’t her.

Seconds pass and the intensity of the moment ebbs away to a moderate stinging sensation. She opens her eyes, shame and disgust replacing the delirium. The bath water has cooled, the mirrors weep with condensation. Her dark nipples skim her legs as she leans forward to drain the tepid water, now tinted salmon by blood. She covers the wound with a flannel, then steps on to the bathmat and into the chill of the newly tiled bathroom.

A cutter, she thinks, remembering the pretty girl in the razor blade. Cutting to cope. To forget the past. To replace the pain inside her head with one she could see. To watch it seep away. But what of the woman? The one called Antonia? Cutting to feel. To stop the numbness, the Isolation. To scar the perfection. She is addicted to the high.Or perhaps she just wants to see what’s beneath her skin.

‘My Friday night treat,’ she mutters. She glances at the woman in the mirror, flawless and perfect, no history, no past. With a small sigh, she peels away the crimson-stained flannel to study her artwork, then she blows out the candles and reaches for a towel.

I had preordered this as soon as I could after falling In love with Louise writing with the gift and the sister .

It arrived yesterday and was devoured in one swift gulp. I had the kids laughing because I was shaking my head saying this is not going to end well !

Once you start you can’t stop reading and you have no idea I’m which way the story Is going to go.

Told in different time lines that ultimately connect we get to know a back story to the characters and begin to understand them and their inner turmoils.

Dark and twisted , it made my skin crawl and take many deep breaths in shock !

Louise is at the top of her game in the psychological thriller genre.

I cannot wait for more of her books .

Fast paced and completely unpredictable I promise you are in for a great read .
