On a remote highland mountain ,the body of Elaine Buxton is burning. All that Will be left to identify the respected lawyer are her teeth and a fragment of cloithing .

In the concealed back room of a house in Edinburgh, the real Elaine Buxton screams into the darkness….

Firstly a huge thank you to the fabulous avon team for sending me a Copy to review. I’ve been dying to read this since getting the first email about it!

This is huge and gory and twisted and dark but above  all its addictive reading

I had the absolute pleasure of reading  this over Christmas! My present to myself .

Within the first few chapters I was hooked and knew this was going to be a excellent read

The chapters are short so you are speeding through the book before you know it dying to know which way we are being taken.

Excellent charactars ,gory with twists and turns .

The book is told in alternate narratives and i always feel this adds excietment abd a fresh feel to the storyline.

We are able to get a glance into a very dark mind and I often gasped out loud and felt disgusted !

I couldn’t put it down and I guarantee this to be one of the best in its genre of 2017!!

I can’t wait to read more in this series and from this author.

Really enjoyed it and I wish Helen every success withh it.

Firstly thank you to headline for sending me a gorgeous Copy to review .

As a avid reader I think its important to push our boundaries and read book’s that we maybe wouldn’t normally .Being a book blogger I am given this opportunity very often .

This was one of those books that fit that category.

This intrigued me because it is a subject I am confused by and not in a judgemental way. And through reading books like this I am able to get a glimpse into this area.

Also knowing this is written by a mum who had been through it added to the authenticity and depth of the book.

This first and foremost is a story about family and the dynamics involved . dealing with complex issues surrounding their son and the knock on effect on everyone.

The strength amd love the parents have for their children is so clear and is what helps them survive these turbulent times.

It’s a fun quirky read with great characters but it also deals with a huge area in a sensitive but real attitude.

It’s a Wonderful Life is a heart-warming novel about the lives that could have been, and what happens when you start to question the choices you made…

Firstly a big thank you to the Avon team for sending me this beautiful festive book .

I loved everything about it and it completely exceeded my expectations for it.

Yes its a Christmas book but i believe this could be enjoyed at any season .

The characters are all very different and each bring their  own complex stories !

From reading the separate narratives it kept the story fresh and fun .

One of the main themes in this book is about thinking the grass is greener and maybe wondering what if ? At times in life we are all going to experience these feelings and the question is what do you do ?

This is a warm fun read and i will certainly look forward to reading more from this author.

One of my favorite parts features a Labrador …..heaven knows why when mine drives me mad lol .

The book starts at Christmas and finishes the following Christmas…will things remain the same ??? Is it  a wonderful life ??

Really recommend this uplifting read especially to finish 2016 with .

BLOG TOUR WHAT ALICE KNEW BY T.A. COTTERELL

thumbnail_wak-blog-tour-posterwhat-a

Alice has a perfect life – a great job, happy kids, a wonderful husband. Until he goes missing one night; she receives a suspicious phone call; things don’t quite add up.

Alice needs to know what’s going on. But when she uncovers the truth she faces a brutal choice. And how can she be sure it is the truth?

Sometimes it’s better not to know.

Firstly thank you to Becky for sending me a exclusive bloggers edition of this and having me on the blog tour.

This is a book that will leave you with more questions than answers when you finish.

I admittedly had to contact the author as i was left feeling perplexed …the ending is quite a ending that will leave you thinking …what happened ??

This is a book about a normal family ,a normal marriage and what happens as a result of a mistake .

This questions morality and what would you do in the same situation ?

Sometimes we think we have it all sussed and know exactly what we would do and things are very black and white .

However for Alice who on the surface has the perfect life she soon realizes things are never that easy.

Despite it being her husbands actions that are under the spotlight and threatening to destroy what they have worked so hard for ,this book is ultimately about Alice .

What will she do?

How does she feel ?

Does she know her husband really?

What will happen to her kids ? Her family …her life

This is written really well especially for a debut and certainly pulls you in . This is unpredictable and fast paced and you do not know which way it will go .

As said before the ending was a shock but once you have allowed it to settle you can see it makes sense with the theme of the book .
