BLOG TOUR BOTH OF YOU BY ADELE PARKS

Leigh Fletcher: happily married stepmum to two gorgeous boys goes missing on Monday. Her husband Mark says he knows nothing of her whereabouts. She simply went to work and just never came home. Their family is shattered.

Kai Janssen: married to wealthy Dutch businessman, Daan, vanishes the same week. Kai left their luxurious penthouse and glamorous world without a backward glance. She seemingly evaporated into thin air. Daan is distraught.

DC Clements knows that people disappear all the time – far too frequently. Most run away from things, some run towards, others are taken but find their way back. A sad few never return. These two women are from very different worlds, their disappearances are unlikely to be connected. And yet, at a gut level, the DC believes they might be.

How could these women walk away from their families, husbands and homes willingly? Clements is determined to unearth the truth, no matter how shocking and devastating it may be

BLOG TOUR THE HEIGHTS BY LOUISE CANDLISH

He thinks he’s safe up there.
But he’ll never be safe from you.

The Heights is a tall, slender apartment building among the warehouses of Tower Bridge, its roof terrace so discreet you wouldn’t know it existed if you weren’t standing at the window of the flat directly opposite. But you are. And that’s when you see a man up there – a man you’d recognize anywhere. He’s older now and his appearance has subtly changed, but it’s definitely him.

Which makes no sense at all since you know he has been dead for over two years.

You know this for a fact.

Because you’re the one who killed him.

Firstly a big thank you to Simon and Schuster for my copy to review on netgalley and having Me on the tour.

I’m a huge fan of Louise’s I’ve had the upmost pleasure to meet her and been thrilled to be quoted on her cover.

She has released the last couple of years, amazing bestselling thrillers .

I’m tempted to say this is one of my favourite of her Simon and schuster publications.

It was a Saturday treat to read cover to cover in one go.

This is amazing and I predict huge success with this.

Fast paced and will have you turning the pages desperate to get answers.

I felt conflicted emotions both as a mum who wants to protect my child but also as a psychology enthusistt and care home kid. I understand the vicious cycle of troubled childhood ,crime and adulthood.

Twisty, haunting and thought provoking. Captivating and compelling this will reel you in and leave you bereft once finished . I absolutely loved it and highly recommend!

All the same, Kate is pleased to find herself connecting with Imogen, until one day, Imogen reveals a disturbing secret to her stepmother, making her swear never to tell a soul.

BOOK REVIEW THE PLAYDATE BY VICTORIA JENKINS

Arranging the playdate was easy. Child’s play. Preparing the house was more difficult. It was only now she realised how many photographs there were: the picture-perfect unit. Wife, husband, child. All of it a lie.

I made a new friend at playgroup today. She’s different from the other mothers. She feels like someone I can trust. Someone I can confide in.

But there are some things I can’t tell her. Things I can’t tell anyone.

Because I have a secret that no one else knows. One that still haunts my dreams, wakes me up in a cold sweat at night.

Even another mother would never understand. Unless, of course, she’s hiding something too…

Firstly a big thank you to the publishers for my copy to review on netgalley,  this is a new author to me . I’ll be reading more of her books!

Captivating and chilling. Not all is as it seems and people aren’t who they say they are.

Friendships,lies ,children and secrets.

Twisty and thrilling and cleverly written. I loved it.

I didn’t whizz through as life got bit hectic this week but it was quite a treat to have it savoured to dip into when i could.

Every parents nightmare happens in this book when a child goes missing. Lisa captures all the emotions felt surrounding this.

Written in alternate timeliness and narratives we get a feel of who the characters really are and they are not as they seem to be in the first chapters.

Secrets are about to be exposed and are people really telling the truth about that night? Why would a friend lie and what scandal will possibly be revealed.

BOOK REVIEW THE BURNING GIRLS BY C.J.TUDOR

500 years ago: eight martyrs were burnt to death
30 years ago: two teenagers vanished without trace
Two months ago: the vicar committed suicide

Welcome to Chapel Croft.

For Rev Jack Brooks and teenage daughter Flo it’s supposed to be a fresh start. New job, new home. But, as Jack knows, the past isn’t easily forgotten.

And in a close-knit community where the residents seem as proud as they are haunted by Chapel Croft’s history, Jack must tread carefully. Ancient superstitions as well as a mistrust of outsiders will be hard to overcome.

Yet right away Jack has more frightening concerns.

Why is Flo plagued by visions of burning girls?
Who’s sending them sinister, threatening messages?
And why did no one mention that the last vicar killed himself?

Chapel Croft’s secrets lie deep and dark as the tomb. Jack wouldn’t touch them if not for Flo – anything to protect Flo.

But the past is catching up with Chapel Croft – and with Jack. For old ghosts with scores to settle will never rest . . .

Another amazing book by this author!

Gripping straight from the start and it’s a real rollercoaster of a read . Twisty and thrilling.

I was enthralled and captivated . Spooky and haunting , this is not for the faint hearted! Secrets threaten to be exposed and people’s past are leaking into their present.

Fascinating and eerie this is a great original chilling book. She doesn’t dissapoint, I mean she even has approval from Mr Stephen King himself.

A addictive read so prepare to clear your day to delve in. Im excited to see what she writes next…..
