copy to review

I was so excited and honoured to see my name on the page thank you. There are times in my life I question my role and importance and seeing that made my spirt lift .

Everyone will know I’m a huge Rowan fan after reading the memory book a few years ago.

Since then we have regularly communicated via social media and I have a lot of respect and admiration for her as a writer and a woman .

Upon hearing the premise of this book I was really enticed as a fan of doctor who and romance…this ticks those boxes.

It’s magical fresh clever and so emotive.

Beautifully written which is what all of Rowans readers already know.

But this book she’s extended her writing in a more magical creative way and you as the reader are believing every word.

As someone who battles mental illness I could relate to many of the characters .

This is a story about what if?

Why and how?

Given the opportunity to change things would you ? And at what cost ?

Prepare to be whisked away to America for this love story with a difference .

This is a book every reader wants to do it justice by reviewing … Its beautiful special magical…go read

My review

Firstly a huge thank you to the fabulous Avon team for my review copy . My attention had been caught upon reading the first email about the book.

This is huge gory ,twisted and dark but above all its addictive reading .

Within the first few chapters I was hooked and knew this was going to be a excellent read.

The chapters are short so you are speeding through before you know it. As a reader you are dying to know which way you are being taken .

Excellent charactars ,gory with twists and turns .

The book Is told in alternate narratives and I always feel this adds excitement and a fresh feel to the storyline.

We are able to get a glance into a very dark mimnd and I often gasped out loud with disgust!!

I couldn’t put it down and I guarantee this to be one of the best In. It’s genre of 2017

I cannot wait  to read more in this series and wish Helen every success !

And now for the extract …happy reading and do check out the rest of  blog tour .

The head of the department of philosophy had called king into her office not five minutes after he’d returned to work . she might at least have let him clear his backlog. After three weeks away, the accumulation was frustrating . could no one have covered his duties while he was away?  He may not really hasve been sick, but his colleagues didn’t know that, did they? Not one call to offer sympathy or concerm. And this morning the other administrative staff hadn’t even asked him about iit. This was the way it had always been ,no reason to expect anything better at this point. Was it intimidation Or jealously ,he wondered as he deliberately delayed by making tea, keeping Natasha or professor forge as she insisted he call her ,waiting just a few minutes more.

By the time King opened her door, she was taking a telephone call and raised her forefinger as if he was a wayward student, keeping him still and quiet while she finished her business. Natasha was wearing a dark green suit that emphasized her Hazel eyes and ash blond hair . King hated the way she made him feel . even though he couldn’t bear to be I’m  her company these date ,there was no escaping her beauty . he admired her long slender neck ,withy skin that would have flattered a woman.

BOOK REVIEW GREATEST HITS BY  LAURA BARNETT

Cass Wheeler – a British singer song writer hugely successful since the early 70s whose sudden disappearance from the music world three decades later has been the subject of intense speculation among her fans-is in the studio that adjourns her home, taking a journey back into her past. Her task is to choose sixteen Songs from among the hundreds she has written since her early teens, for a uniquely personal record, describing the arc of her life through song.

It has been over a decade since Cass last put out an album;  ten years since a tragedy catapulted her into a breakdown. In the course of this one day -both ordinary and extraordinary-each song cass plays sets off  chain of memories, leading us deep into her past ,and into the creative impulse that has underpinned her work.

Firstly thanks to Rebecca for sending Me a copy to review.

I was delighted and felt incredibly honoured especially after loving Laura’s debut book. That became a best seller no less ” versions of us” back in 2015.

Well this book didn’t disappoint . Laura is a exceptional and talented storyteller.

This is a sensitive thought provoking story and I adored the original concept of weaving the lyrics iinto the pages. This made the story and character that much richer.

I could relate to Cass in many ways ,her life wasn’t plain sailing from abandonment issues from her mother to finding love in a volatile marriage.

Cass is a strong courageous woman and that is what shines through.

A layered book which unravels to reveal the darker truths .

Grief anguish and turmoil sent Cass to hell and back and from someone who’s been there I admire how well and genuine this was portrayed.

Quirky fresh and original…. This looks set to be a summer blockbuster.

But will the imaginative babysitter be on her best behaviour ?

Marge returns in three family fun adventures wtiyen by actor and comedian Isla Fisher

Firstly a big thank you to Emily for my copy to review.

I was delighted to recieve a children’s book as I read to my son every night and he was excited to get in on the blogging action …

We loved it , from Marge’s Mad hair to the mishaps and mayhem they get up to .

Making us laugh is key and this ticked that box.

Lincoln’s favourite story was the first one ,whereas mine was the wedding one.

Lincoln’s critscim was the stories were long so couldn’t finish a specific part and felt having chapters would have helped.

This is a fun quirky book with lots of adventures ,perfect for fans of horrid Henry .

We look forward to reading more from this author .
