BOOK REVIEW MY MOTHERS SECRET BY SHEILA O’FLANAGAN

When Steffie helps her two siblings organize a surprise wedding anniversary party for their parents her only worry is whether they’ll be pleased. What she doesn’t know is this is the day that her whole world will be turned upside down.

Jenny wants to be able to celebrate her ruby anniversary with the man she loves, but for forty years she has kept a secret. A secret that she can’t bear to hide any longer. But is it ever the right time to hurt the people closest to you?

As the entire family gather to toast the happy couple, they’re expecting a day to remember. The trouble is, it’s not going to be for the reasons they imagined…

Firstly a big thank you to Frances at Headline for sending me an advance copy to review .

Despite its size I read this quite quick as the storyline is easy to get  drawn into .

There are a lot of charactars but once into the book its not difficult to keep up with all their individual storylines .

Anyone can relate to this book ,family dramas…everyone has them …?  Even more so when secrets are revealed and people feel the fallout from it .

How does it go from being a special family celebration to arguments tears and shocks .

A enjoyable book that’s genuine .It shows the importance of family and also how dynamics affect it .

My favourite character was Steffie and we go on a rollercoaster of a journey with her .
