The bestselling author of Close My Eyes returns with a chilling psychological thriller. Julia has always been the friend that Livy turns to when life is difficult. United fifteen years ago by grief at the brutal murder of Livy’s sister, Kara, they’ve always told each other everything. Or so Livy thought. So when Julia is found dead in her home, Livy cannot come to terms with the news that she chose to end her own life. The Julia that Livy knew was vibrant and vivacious, a far cry from the selfish neurotic that her family seem determined to paint her as. Troubled by doubt but alone in her suspicions, Livy sets out to prove that Julia was in fact murdered. But little does she realise that digging into her best friend’s private life will cause her to question everything she thought she knew about Julia. And the truth that Livy discovers will tear the very fabric of her own life apart.

I am a  HUGE fan of Sophie Mckenzies books and this is another author Estelle introduced me to. Again its so cool having a daughter who shares my passion of books . I have read a few of her teenage books and each time ive read in one night hooked from the start so I couldn’t wait to grab a copy of this.

The cover is incredibly chilling .  We are thrown straight into the deep end of knowing not all is perfect in Livys life and even her best friend is irritating her but then she is found dead .

This book is chilling leaves you second guessing each character that Livy meets ,there are lots of twists and turns that make for a really exiting read.

There are chapters which are the killers pov and this makes for disturbing reading especially as we don’t know his identity yet. He explains his motives and needs to kill and his emotions .

I started to think it was one character to then think no its someone else .

A very tense book which plays on your thoughts and fears .

Im very excited because as I was reading this I saw a tweet about a authors event next week and sophie is one of them so im looking forward to seeing her and hearing her talk about psychological thrillers .
