BOOK REVIEW PAPER SWANS BY JESSICA THOMPSON

Ben Lawrence seems to have it all – the hot job, the flashy car, the luxurious apartment. But one tragic day in his past mars his future.

Since the events of that day he hasn’t truly got close to anyone.

He made a promise that love was the price he would pay for his mistakes.

When Effy Jones – a bright, ambitious charity founder – walks into the PR firm where Ben works, neither realise that their lives are about to be turned upside down.

Paper Swans tells of how love can conquer all, and how when everything is broken one person can help to put the pieces together…

Thank you to Hodder and Bookbridgr for sending me a copy to review .The cover is beautiful and eye catching . I haven’t read any of her previous books but instantly after finishing this I added these to my amazon wishlist!!

I read in one afternoon and said aww several times and tweeted how my heart melted .

This book is so beautifully written ..I fell in love with Ben instantly despite the city boy act he was playing to cover his pain .

I can relate to him and his fears of getting hurt and hurting others so I was really cheering him on .

This book also covers mental health and as someone who suffers themselves I commend the author for bringing this into the story and also making it Ben who is dealing with it which even now in 2014 is seen as a taboo .

I loved how there was quotes on the top of each chapter .

Just a brilliant book and one I feel lucky to share my discovery of!
