Sephy is a Cross – a member of the dark-skinned ruling class. Callum is a nought – a ‘colourless’ member of the underclass who were once slaves to the Crosses. The two have been friends since early childhood. But that’s as far as it can go. Until the first steps are taken towards more social equality and a limited number of Noughts are allowed into Cross schools… Against a background of prejudice and distrust, intensely highlighted by violent terrorist activity by Noughts, a romance builds between Sephy and Callum – a romance that is to lead both of them into terrible danger…

Right  I shall warn you as I write this im poorly and not had enough sleep and  feeling like my heart has been ripped out since reading this .So I feel  may not do this amazing masterpiece justice .

Again this is a series that Estelle had been nagging me to read for ages ,she read it a good 2/3 years ago. So after id hit a slump with books this book was calling me .I read in less than a day and left me feeling emotionally exhausted .

Malories writing is easy and flows ,grabs you within the first page leaving you hooked.

It covers a huge serious issue of race and prejudice in society but with a amazing twist .

This book is a genius and I think everyone whatever age sex or race should read this .

It is brave and a eye opener .

Im gutted I cant rush out and buy the rest of the series as silly me has put these books on my book swap list …. when I start a gripping series I cant wait to read the rest.

This book is a must read and will make you challenge your own thoughts and feelings.
